Natascha Merveille Bope is a self-taught contemporary artist based in Vienna, Austria, creating under the name Merveilletheartist. Primarily using alcohol-based markers, colored pencils and ballpoint pens on fine art paper, she creates highly detailed, surreal and symbolic worlds exploring femininity, spirituality, emotional wellbeing and transformation.
Her practice is rooted in the belief that creativity can become a way of reconnecting with parts of ourselves that have been silenced, misunderstood or wounded. Her artworks draw on metaphysical symbolism, nature and the human figure, incorporating elements of kundalini, the chakra system and the Tree of Life, alongside recurring motifs of water, animals and celestial imagery.
Merveilletheartist has showcased her work through exhibitions and art projects in Vienna, including presentations at Galerie am Park, Public Artists and Vienna Week. She has also hosted creative workshops connected to the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna and Black Austrian community initiatives. In 2019, she won an international women’s empowerment art competition hosted online by Redbubble.
Natascha’s paintings explore the space between the personal and the universal, inviting viewers to question inherited beliefs and reconnect with their own intuition, softness and sense of possibility.
